3D2N Genting / Kuala Lumpur

Yupz, so i mentioned before, I won a pair of tickets to Genting. Finally, we fixed the trip from 16 to 18 May 2009.

Early in the morning, 天还没亮，we have to board the coach at 6 am...

It was a very smooth trip, we arrived at Genting at about 12 pm... As we can only check in the hotel room at 2 pm only, so we headed for our lunch first.

鸳鸯火锅，love the porridge! It's super sweet and tasty, even sweeter than the chicken soup base!  I don't remember eating such a sweet porridge before in Singapore...

After lunch, we check in to First World Hotel.

Few years back when i am still working at a travel agency, I've heard many customers complaining about the room standard of First World Hotel.  Say it's very small la, say it's very dirty la, say there's no bathtub la, say the wash hand basin is outside the toilet la, say drinking water can only get from the corridor outside la...

So many complaints that's why I did not put high hope on this hotel.  But when I entered the hotel room, it isn't that bad as what they said leh... I quite like it lor... I don't go for posh hotel rooms as long as it is livable and comfortable...

So after settling down our luggage, we went down to have a walk...  Bought my favourite ice cream, Cookies & Cream!!

Spotted this 烤地瓜 (Baked Sweet Potato) stall.  It uses the most premium sweet potato from Japan.  And the sweet potato is really SWEET~~~!!!!

Every night, my mum and I will buy this for supper without fail, and we are not tired of eating it, because it is really too sweet and fragrant le!

If I have the $$$, I would like to bring this stall to Singapore, 我要成为烤地瓜大王！！！:p

Our supper also includes mini kaya kueh...


As we have nothing to do at Genting, we don't go theme park, we don't gamble, so the next morning, we took the cable car down to catch a coach to KL.

Early in the morning very misty, cannot even see the scenery outside the cable car...

When the cable car comes down to mid-mountain, can slightly see the outside better...

Catching a coach to KL - Puduraya

The bus ticket is cheap lor, only RM$3.50....

In about an hour's time, we reached KL, that's really quite fast...

Upon reaching KL, we go and grab our lunch...

KFC...  too excited in eating, forgot to take pictures...  By the time I realised it, the skin is already gone! :p

After shopping around Jalan Bukit Bintang area and Sungei Wang, we came to Jalan Petaling (Chinatown).

This is my second time here, everytime I come, I would not give this stall a miss, especially with such a hot weather~

This street is full of stalls selling pirated goods.  My mum bought this "LV" bag.  The people there are atrocious, 乱砍菜头，my smart mum slashed the price by 70%!!!

Funny to say, though the stalls there are selling similar pirated goods, but you seldom see 2 stalls selling exactly the same bag.

Time passes very fast, soon it is dinner time again!

Before departing back to Singapore, we had our brunch at this Chinese restaurant in Genting Hotel.

Such a big coach, only 4 passengers... This coach is as if 被我们包下来了。真爽！！

Thanks WTS for giving us such a wonderful experience and short getaway.  Nice coach, friendly and polite coach drivers, great pick up and drop off point at Ang Mo Kio, smooth journey to and fro.
