第一天
檳城美食之旅，我帶了我媽媽同行。
Brought my mum along for this trip...
還有這班認識了至少12年的朋友~
together with this bunch of 12 years' friends...
到達這所謂我們的“飯店”~
Just a one hour flight journey, we reached Penang. Just like we took a train from Boon Lay to Pasir Ris nia~
Upon arrival at Penang, took a cab to our "motel"..
是哪位無聊人士在網上給予這閒酒店良好的評語的？！
wah seh~ dunno how this motel gets good ratings from the internet..
一進去房間，我們每人“大傻眼”！
oh man! usually I dont pick on hotel's standard but this is definitely not acceptable!
有如50、60年代的房子一樣~
there's a thick layer of dust which cannot be seen from the photos!
多麽復古的水壺啊~
瞧這比我家還要簡陋的廁所~
worst than my house's toilet *diaoz*
骯髒慘了又發黃的牆壁瓷磚~
look at the yellowish wall tiles!
check in 不到 10 分鐘，我們決定捨棄它，去外頭“另謀高就”！
就是你啦，Hotel Continental!
All of us got a common consensus to forgo the deposit and look for somewhere else~
哇~ 比起剛才那閒，這閒簡直是“總統套房”嘛！
In contrast, this looks like a "presidential suite"! Haha~
飯店對面座落這棟古跡，Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion
好！找到了晚上的棲身住所之後，我們就到處閒逛啦~
After checking in to our new hotel, take a stroll to Lebuh Campbell for our breakfast.
尋找美食第一站：從網上搜尋到的這閒傳統式的烤麵包咖啡店~
Saw this traditional kopitiam from the internet, good reviews too~
吃完了傳統的華人早餐，我們步行到了附近的市場。。
Everytime I go on free & easy trip, dunno why always can stroll to market one, haha~
這是檳城最高的建築物。
Komtar - The tallest building in Penang. Looks like our "Westin" Hotel sia...
多個方向的行人天橋~
Multi-directions overhead bridge
從天橋上瞭望出去，有座古董建築物~
從網上搜尋到這家在檳城數一數二的豆沙餅製造公司。
據説，常常賣到段貨，所以我們就先特地來這裡預定我們所需要的數量，回國之前再來索取。。
From the internet: Ghee Hiang tau-sa-piah ranks number 2 in Penang. Always run out of stock, that's why have to come reserve first, to ensure we got good stuffs back to Singapore for our family and friends/colleagues!
150年的老字號
這角度很好，可愛寶寶好像在搭我的肩，哈哈~
定好豆沙餅后，我們來到巴士總站，準備前往下一個目的地~
Then we came to this Komtar bus terminal for a bus ride to the next destination.
尋找美食第二站：檳城著名的 Asam Laksa
老闆很親切，一直笑盈盈地跟顧客打招呼和道謝~
I did not notice the over-flowing laksa soup until my small boss pointed out to me when I show her the photos. She feels that it's gross~ Haha~
少了我最愛的椰奶叻沙，吃起來不太習慣~
Dont really like this kinda without coconut milk laksa, I still prefer my Singapore Laksa!
沒有了椰奶，卻多了個濃稠的“蝦膏”~
Gotta add prawn paste to enhance your Asam Laksa taste~
最後來點甜品 - 四寳湯
吃完午餐，我們繼續頂著大太陽，前往檳城最大的寺廟 - 極樂寺
從這裡可以看得出它是位于高處。。又要爬樓梯了，累慘了~
Penang's largest temple - Kek Lok Si
一路爬上去，還有店鋪在售賣一些物品，這樣也好，分散我們爬樓梯的注意力，感覺上也不會太累。。
終于到達了。。一進去就看到好多大烏龜~
從高處眺望出去，可以一覽無遺看到檳城的美景~
接下來，我們將乘搭升降電梯往更高的別處看觀音~
電梯裏頭放了一籃的斑蘭葉，蠻香一下的~
Then we took this inclining elevator.
電梯是往斜的方向走動的。。
媽媽跟我陸續跟我們的生肖合照~
我回頭一看，被這個觀音嚇到了！它看起來挺恐怖的~

這就慈祥多了~

看完觀音，又得乘搭電梯下山。。
在電梯裏頭。。跟我媽合張照作紀念~

離開極樂寺后，我們看到我媽一直在尋找的長方型榴梿糕。據説這種會比較好吃？！
接下來，我們來到了另一個景點。
Shiyun wanted to come Penang Hill to see sunset.
又得乘坐斜方向的電車。。
朋友們特地上來這座山看夕陽。 由於我的腳又給我老毛病了，那我就不跟她們爬樓梯上去了。
於是我就在下面跟這只鳥對看，哈哈~
太陽遲遲不肯下山。不管了，我們比太陽先下山去~
The sun is still so bright when it's 7 pm liao...
難得四個人都可以入鏡頭的自拍照~
尋找美食第三站：我們來到檳城著名的美食街。
Food Street - Gurney Drive
晚餐時間，肚子餓扁了，叫了一大堆的美食來大快朵頤！

水餃湯

芋頭糕

咖哩麵
砂鍋雞販 + 荷包蛋
薄餅
豆花
Chendol
紅豆冰 + 冰淇淋
吃完晚餐，我們回到飯店附近，繼續我們的榴梿宵夜！
